Terms & Conditions for rental of La Goulée
Definitions used in the following terms & conditions
1. The owner/agent - M.A. Isherwood
2. The client - the person signing the booking form
Reservations -should be made in writing by returning a completed booking form together with the deposit.

Payment schedule
- 25% of total cost as deposit on booking
- 25% of total cost 12 weeks before arrival date
- 50% of total cost + breakage deposit + optional end of stay cleaning charge 8 weeks before arrival
Reservations made within 8 weeks of arrival date should be paid for in full at time of booking.
Sterling cheques should be made payable to M.A. Isherwood Clients Account.

On receipt of the client's completed booking form and cleared deposit cheque, a confirmation of booking and receipt will be issued.
Alterations to original booking (subject to availability) should be made in writing and will be subject to a £15 administration charge. If alterations are made 0-56 days before arrival and cannot be catered for, the owners/agents reserve the right to enforce the cancellation fee as detailed below.
Cancellation by client - this should be made in writing to the owners/agents.
Cancellation charges - from the date of receipt of the client's cancellation letter.

Cancellation by the owners - if for any reason the owners are obliged to cancel the client's booking, all monies paid to date will be refunded in full. This is the limit of the owners' liability.
Heating - where applicable the boiler will be set and timed for you. Refer to the keyholder for any adjustments required.
Heating charges - where applicable will be deducted from the breakage deposit. Electricity meter read by the keyholder on arrival and departure.
Hot water - unlimited hot water is available at all times.
Beds & Bedding (see Summary of Facilities at La Goulée)
Linen - Bed linen & towels are provided at La Goulée
Laundry facilities - automatic washing machine, iron & ironing board.
Cleaning - equipment is provided. Unless the "end of stay cleaning" charge has been paid, the client is responsible for leaving the house and its contents clean and tidy. This includes washing up, cleaning oven, barbecue, basin, baths, showers, WCs, floors, folding bedding, returning all furniture to its original position. If in the opinion of the keyholder, the house has not been satisfactorily cleaned, a cleaning charge of 20 Euros per hour will be deducted from the breakage deposit.
Occupancy - the maximum occupancy per house must not be exceeded. Infants and young children should be included when stating numbers in party.
Swimming pool - 10m x 5m, open from May to October. Cleaning & maintenance of pool included in rental rates. No unauthorised entry to the pump house. No unauthorised use of pool equipment. Children must be supervised at all times.
Pets - no pets of any kind are allowed in the house or grounds.
Parking - free on-site parking.
Caravans/tents - are prohibited in the grounds and carpark.
Grounds - full use of private gardens.
Changeovers - the changeover day is SATURDAY
Arrival times - from 4p.m.
Departure times - by 10a.m. at the latest
Keys - will be found in the door and should be left in the door on departure.
Breakage deposit - £150 payable with final balance 8 weeks before arrival. The breakage deposit cheque is cashed and returned to you minus any deductions within 12 weeks of departure (to allow time for telephone bill - where applicable - to arrive). See Insurance.
Inventory - please check the inventory on arrival and note down any damaged/missing items in the house information file. Similarly, record & date any breakages/damage during your stay. The owners reserve the right to charge for any broken/damaged/missing items. If such sums exceed the breakage deposit, the client agrees to pay for replacement of these items in full within 8 weeks of departure.
Insurance - the client should take out adequate holiday insurance to cover for any personal liability incurred with respect to major damage to house or pool caused by the client or any member of his or her party.
Disclaimer - neither the owners nor the agents can accept any responsibility whatsoever for any injury or damage to clients or any member of their party or any of their property whilst using the house, grounds, carpark or pool at Les Fosses.
Disputes – in the event of any disputes that cannot be resolved between the client(s) and the owners, the courts of Great Britain shall have jurisdiction.
Acceptance of these terms & conditions - completing the booking form implies knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Party leader - the person signing the booking form is deemed to be the party leader and is responsible for all members of his/her party adhering to these terms & conditions.
